Teachers who continue to teach children in frontline communities will receive an increased monthly supplement of UAH 4,000.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the statement of Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.

“In times of war, when the enemy is trying to destroy us and our future, the work of Ukrainian teachers is more important than ever, because it is about educating our next generations – those who will develop the state in the future. At the same time, this work is more difficult than ever – in the face of shelling, especially in the frontline areas,” the Prime Minister said.

According to Svyrydenko, from now on, teachers in the frontline areas will receive an increased monthly supplement of UAH 4,000 after taxes. This decision was made at a government meeting.

It applies to 25,000 teachers working in 84 communities:

  • Donetsk, and

The funds will be credited in October for the period from September 1 this year.
