The state budget of Ukraine will receive an additional UAH 33.8 million from the sublease of state agricultural land. This was announced by the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU), "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
These funds are formed from UAH 28.2 million of the results of the latest online auctions of the Land Bank and UAH 5.6 million of VAT paid by the winners of the auctions.
This week, 26 auctions totaling UAH 28.2 million were held in the Prozorro.Sale system. A total of 136 bids were submitted, and the value of the plots increased 7.1 times. The average sublease price per hectare was UAH 26,645.
Location of the plots
The total area of the land plots offered for sale is 1,058 hectares. They are located in seven regions: Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Zakarpattia, Khmelnytsky and Kyiv regions.
History of the auction
- Last week, the state received UAH 41.1 million from the sublease and another UAH 8.2 million in VAT. At that time, the average price per hectare was UAH 27,019, and the value of the plots increased 7.2 times.
- The week before, the average price per hectare was UAH 2.8 million including VAT for 183.49 hectares, with a 2.7-fold increase in value.
During the first year of the Land Bank’s operation, auctions were announced for 68.5 thousand hectares, bidding was held for 64.5 thousand hectares, and 53.2 thousand hectares were transferred to farmers for legal use.
Why it is important
- Financial effect: Sublease of state land brings significant funds to the budget and allows controlling the legal use of resources.
- Transparency: The use of the Prozorro system ensures openness and competition among tenants.
- Control over land use: During inspections, the Land Bank team has identified cases of unauthorized use of land plots by outsiders, which emphasizes the need for regular supervision.
“The Land Bank was established as a state-owned operator to organize transparent sublease of state land. In its first year of operation, it has already generated over a billion hryvnias in VAT revenues for the budget, stimulating agricultural development and increasing government revenues.
