State-owned companies increase electricity imports: will the power supply become more stable?

Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz of Ukraine, and other state-owned companies intend to increase electricity imports from January 20 in accordance with the government’s decision on mandatory purchases from EU suppliers in the amount of 50% of consumption.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to sources in state-owned companies, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“Companies have already begun to contract for larger volumes of electricity,” said the publication’s source.
State-owned companies have imported electricity before, but not in such volumes.
The increase in imports will also be facilitated by the NEURC’s increase in price caps for this for the night period to 15,000 hryvnia per MWh.
The increase in electricity imports by state-owned companies will make it possible to free up additional domestically generated electricity for supply to the population.
Also, according to RBC-Ukraine, it was possible to almost double the potential volume of electricity imports during peak periods, which previously averaged 1 GW.
However, the possibility of transferring resources from western Ukraine to the rest of the country remains a problem due to damage to infrastructure.
Recall that Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Ukrenergo had identified a list of urgent tasks to stabilize the power system and reduce the duration of power outages in the regions with the most difficult situation.
In particular, one of the priorities is to increase the technical capacity for importing electricity into Ukraine.
