State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” allocated over UAH 105 million for firewood for foresters

More than 14,000 families of current and former forestry workers received an annual compensation of UAH 7,500 to buy firewood. The total amount of financial assistance provided exceeded UAH 105 million.
This was reported by the press service of the state enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
This compensation is mandatory and is determined by the terms of the collective agreement of the enterprise. The assistance is provided to certain categories of employees, pensioners and their families living in houses and apartments with stove heating.
The following categories received the aid
- more than 10,000 pensioners of the enterprise;
- over 1.7 thousand employees with more than 5 years of service whose average salary is less than UAH 22 thousand
- more than 2,300 – other privileged categories (families of killed military and mobilized employees, employees with disabilities as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, single mothers or fathers, and former employees who sustained an occupational injury at work).
How to receive compensation?
To receive compensation for forestry workers, the following documents must be prepared and submitted in original
- an application for compensation;
- a certificate from the village/city council or an act of the commission inspection on the availability of stove heating;
- copies of documents confirming that you belong to a privileged category (for example, a copy of the order of dismissal for mobilized persons;
- certificate of length of service and salary;
- copies of passport and identification number.
Current employees submit applications with a full package of documents to the motivation department of the regional branch. Retirees submit documents to their primary trade union organization. Applications can be submitted either in person or by mail.
