Down to -23 in the region, -18 in Kyiv: cold weather to continue at least until the end of the week

Cold weather with significant frosts will continue in Ukraine this week, especially in certain regions. As reported in an exclusive comment "Komersant Ukrainian" , the situation will largely depend on the availability of clear skies.

“Well, the frosts will remain this week. It will depend on clear spells. But most of them will be in the north-central and north-eastern regions,” she said.

In the capital, the air temperature will be slightly higher than in the regions.

“In Kyiv, it will be around 15-18 degrees (below zero, ed.),” the forecaster explained.

At the same time, residents of the Kyiv region should be prepared for much stronger frosts.

“But in the region, it could be 20–22–23 degrees below zero,” Natalia Golenia clarified.

As for the duration of the cold weather, there is no clear forecast yet.

“This week, it will definitely be (cold weather, – Ed.). Whether it will continue after the 20th remains to be seen,” the forecaster concluded.

As previously reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", Monday, January 12, is expected to be very cold in Kyiv. At night, it will be -14-18 degrees, and during the day, -10-13 degrees, but without precipitation.
