Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas arrives in Kyiv

On 18 June, the Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania, Victoria Čmilytė-Nielsen, arrived in Ukraine on an official visit. This was reported by Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratyuk, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
She noted that she personally met the Speaker at the Kyiv railway station.
“I met Ms Speaker at the Kyiv railway station. This is an important visit for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and evidence of support for Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations!”
– kondratiuk said.
It should be noted that Lithuania is one of Ukraine’s biggest friends – since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with more than 1% of its GDP in aid. As CNN reported in October 2023, only Norway has given a larger share of GDP to Ukraine.
