The dollar breaks a historical record: exchange rate as of November 26

The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the official dollar exchange rate for the second time in two days, and the US currency has once again set a historical record against the hryvnia. The previous high was recorded in January 2025. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NBU.
According to the regulator’s updated data, the official dollar exchange rate will be 42.40 UAH/USD starting on Wednesday, while the previous day it was 42.37 UAH/USD.
On the cash market, the dollar also rose significantly to UAH 42.65, adding 15 kopecks overnight.
The euro also strengthened: the official exchange rate for Wednesday is set at 48.94 UAH/euro, up from 48.91 UAH on Tuesday, November 25.
The appreciation comes amid high demand for the currency and general volatility in the financial markets.
