The dollar and euro continue to grow: exchange rates as of October 3

The National Bank of Ukraine has raised the official exchange rate of major foreign currencies for the second time in a week. According to the regulator’s data, both the dollar and the euro are showing steady growth, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Dollar exchange rate

On Friday, October 3, the NBU set the official exchange rate at 41.27 hryvnia to one US dollar.
For comparison, the previous day the official rate was 41.22 hryvnia.

The US currency also rose in price on the cash market to 41.50 hryvnia, up five kopecks from the previous day.

Euro exchange rate

The euro continues to strengthen its position. The official exchange rate as of October 3 is 48.50 hryvnia to one euro, while on October 2, the European currency was valued at 48.37 hryvnia.

Market trends

The strengthening of the dollar and the euro comes amid increased demand for foreign currency and a general weakening of the hryvnia on the interbank market.

Financial analysts note that in the coming days the exchange rate may fluctuate between UAH 41.20-41.60/$ and UAH 48.30-48.70/€, depending on the volume of the National Bank’s foreign exchange interventions and the dynamics of foreign markets.

  • 1 USD – 41.27 UAH
  • 1 EUR – 48.50 UAH
