The dollar and euro are rising: exchange rates as of February 24

On February 24, the National Bank of Ukraine raised the official dollar exchange rate again. The euro also continues to grow, crossing the psychological mark of 51 hryvnia. This is evidenced by updated data from the regulator, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

Official exchange rates as of February 24

As of Tuesday, February 24, the following official exchange rates have been set:

  • 1 US dollar — 43.29 hryvnia
  • 1 euro — 51.00 hryvnia

For comparison

  • On February 23, the dollar was 43.27 UAH
  • On February 23, the euro was 50.91 UAH.

Thus, the dollar gained 2 kopecks, while the euro rose by 9 kopecks.

Cash market

The dollar also rose in the cash market, averaging 43.10 UAH, which is 5 kopecks more than the day before.

The European currency in banks and exchange offices also shows an upward trend.

Why the currency is rising

Experts explain the fluctuations in the exchange rate:

  • active demand for imported currency;
  • external economic factors;
  • the situation on international financial markets;
  • business and public expectations.

The NBU continues its policy of controlled exchange rate formation, gradually adjusting official indicators.
