Ukrainian politician and public figure Oles Doniy commented on the government’s reaction to the protests in support of the SAPO and NABU. He expressed his opinion in a YouTube interview "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The authorities were definitely afraid (of the street actions in support of NABU/SAPO – ed.), because the authorities grew up with concerts where they were used to receiving applause. They are not used to receiving rotten tomatoes during concerts. She was not used to it. So it was definitely a fright and a quick reaction,” Doniy said.

According to him, the government lacks strategic thinking, but has extensive experience in PR.

“Our government, they have no strategic thinking, but they are geniuses of PR, and they have a very quick reaction. I mean, we have to point out not only their negative aspects, but also their positive ones. I mean, they have strengths. They react very quickly. They quickly made a decision and adopted another law,” the politician explained.
