Military and MP Serhiy Rudyk, who accompanied the mission, posted a video of the damaged car and said it was another Russian attack.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also commented on the incident.
“A Russian FPV drone attacked the IAEA convoy, whose task is to ensure nuclear safety around the world. The strike was on one of the convoy’s vehicles. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries. This attack clearly demonstrated Russia’s attitude to everything related to international law, international institutions and security. The Russians could not have been unaware of their goal. They knew exactly what they were doing and acted consciously,” he said in his message.
The Head of State emphasized that the attack requires a clear and decisive response from both the IAEA and other international partners. Silence or inaction will only encourage further crimes.
