14 November 13:11
During a massive nighttime raid on Russian regions, Ukrainian drones struck “civilian infrastructure” in Saratov, which were damaged as a result, said the head of the region, Roman Busargin. The governor did not give any other details, saying only that emergency services were working at the scene of the attack.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian propaganda media.
Rosaviatsiya announced the closure of Saratov airport at 11 p.m. on Thursday, and the restrictions were lifted at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. At the same time, Busargin reported the danger of drone strikes only at three in the morning on November 14. In total, last night in the Saratov region, air defense forces intercepted 45 UAVs, according to a report to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ drones attacked a Rosneft oil refinery in Saratov.
This is the sixth attack on the plant, which has a design capacity of 140 thousand barrels of oil per day, this fall and the eighth since the beginning of the year. The Saratov refinery is one of the key suppliers of gasoline and diesel fuel for the European part of Russia. The General Staff of the Armed Forces stated that the plant, which produces more than 20 types of products, including gasoline, fuel oil, diesel fuel, vacuum gas oil, etc., is “involved in meeting the needs” of the Russian military.
The footage from Saratov posted on social media shows a fire, which, according to eyewitnesses, occurred near the refinery. Some of the videos also show flashes of shots from anti-aircraft guns and assault rifles at flying drones.
The previous attack on the Saratov refinery took place on Tuesday, November 11. The governor also wrote about “damage to civilian infrastructure,” but did not mention the refinery. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the damage to the facility, noting that a series of explosions and a fire had occurred at the enterprise.
