3 February 13:08

Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov’s press secretary confirmed that the second round of talks will be held in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5. The Russian delegation will be led by GRU chief Igor Kostyukov.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian propaganda media.

According to the Kremlin press secretary, the second round of the security group’s work in Abu Dhabi will take place on February 4-5.

He also said that the composition of the Russian delegation at the talks in Abu Dhabi remains unchanged – it will be headed by GRU chief Igor Kostyukov.

It is worth noting that last time the Russian delegation included, in particular, GRU chief Igor Kostyukov (head of the Russian negotiating team) and the Russian dictator’s envoy, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

Also representing the Russian Federation were Alexander Zorin, first deputy head of the GRU’s information department, and Ilya Kurepov, a translator and employee of the Russian Defense Ministry’s linguistic center.

Negotiations in Abu Dhabi

It should be noted that Ukrainian officials have already left for a meeting with the Russian and American delegations in Abu Dhabi, which is scheduled for February 4-5. Previous trilateral negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and Russia took place in the UAE on January 23 and 24.

At that time, the greatest progress was made in the military bloc, but the issue of territories remained unresolved. In particular, the possible withdrawal of forces, mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire, and the creation of a coordination center were discussed.

After the previous meeting, the next round of talks was announced for February 1. Later, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the meeting had been postponed to February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi.

It should be noted that in one of his interviews, Zelensky said that without a meeting with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, it would be impossible to resolve the territorial issue.

In addition, on February 2, Russian dictator Dmitry Peskov’s press secretary said that a meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is only possible in Moscow.

The Kremlin press secretary also said that peace talks are a “very complex multi-vector process,” but added that progress has been made on some issues.
