Durov announces the launch of Cocoon decentralized network for AI computing

Pavel Durov, the entrepreneur and founder of the Telegram messenger, has announced the launch of Cocoon (Confidential Compute Open Network), a decentralized confidential network for computing that will use artificial intelligence and the TON (The Open Network) blockchain.
He published a corresponding post on his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to him, this network provides users with 100% confidentiality when interacting with AI.
“Some Telegram requests related to the automatic translation of messages are already going through this network,” Durov wrote.
He also noted that developers get access to computing resources at lower rates than centralized providers such as Microsoft or Amazon. According to him, owners of video cards can earn TON of cryptocurrency in real time by connecting their hardware to Cocoon.
on October 29, Durov said that Telegram is at the intersection of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and social media. At the same time, he drew attention to the fact that centralized AI platforms often collect and use users’ personal data, while Cocoon is created as an alternative based on the principles of decentralization and privacy.
