“Economic booking” for UAH 20 thousand: a draft law has been registered in the Rada

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has registered draft law No. 11331 On Industrial Policy and Predictability of the Real Sector of the Economy, which proposes another model of economic reservation. This was announced by one of the authors of the document, MP Dmytro Natalukha, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to the MP, the team of authors is trying to protect domestic business with this document and help it cope with the challenges posed by the Russian invasion.
“In times of war, the economy is a weapon… In these times, the operation of any business depends on predictability, and the first question that most manufacturers are concerned about today is whether they will be able to retain critical employees Therefore, in the law, we have laid down the concept of “economic reservation”, which will allow the economy to retain hard-to-replace specialists,”
– the MP wrote on Facebook.
Key provisions of the bill:
- Every business entity that pays the increased military fee of UAH 20,000 per month per employee has the option of booking them.
- The increased fee is paid not by the employee, but by the business itself. It determines who is most critical to it and confirms this with the relevant taxes.
- The reservation applies to every business entity.
- The Cabinet of Ministers will determine the percentage limit of bookings and the procedure.
Natalukha added that MPs will soon submit two more alternative bills:
- a model with reservations for salaries above UAH 35 thousand
- a mixed model – UAH 35,000 of salary for an employee, UAH 20,000 of military duty for a sole proprietor.
