Former head of State Medical Service notified of suspicion: what is known

27 February 18:35

Detectives from Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have notified the former head of Ukraine’s State Service for Medicines and Drug Control that he is under suspicion, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

The allegations concern the possible inclusion of false information in electronic declarations.

The name is not officially mentioned in the reports, but according to public information, it refers to Roman Isaienko.

What are the suspicions?

According to the investigation, the official did not include information about a residential building in the Kyiv region in his declarations for 2022-2024.

According to detectives, the property was purchased in January 2022 and registered in the name of his wife’s parents. At the same time, law enforcement officials claim that the house was actually used by the official himself and his wife.

After the investigation — dismissal

NABU and SAP reported that after the investigation began in early 2026, the official was dismissed.

Earlier, the government suspended him from his duties and initiated disciplinary proceedings.

The role of journalists

Anti-corruption authorities noted that criminal proceedings were initiated based on materials from a journalistic investigation by Bihus.Info.

In February 2025, journalists reported that after registration, the private laboratory Dobrobut-Lykilab began to receive a large number of orders for testing medicines from the State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drugs Control.

Preliminary investigative actions

According to media reports, in November, NABU detectives conducted searches at the service’s central office, including the office of its director.

These actions took place against the backdrop of audits of the agency’s activities and its contracts.
