Emergency power cuts in Kyiv affect registries: Ministry of Justice warns of access disruptions

In Kyiv, due to power outages, problems were reported with access to some of the unified and state registries of the Ministry of Justice. This was reported by the state-owned enterprise National Information Systems, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
These are temporary disruptions in the operation of information resources caused by problems with the power supply to one of the data centers.
What exactly happened
The state-owned enterprise National Information Systems explained that due to power outages, there may be difficulties with stable access to certain registries held by the Ministry of Justice.
“Due to power outages at one of the data centers, there may be temporary disruptions in stable access to certain Unified and State Registers,” the company said in a statement.
Specialists are currently taking measures to restore and stabilize the power supply.
Which services may be unavailable
The official list of registries that are difficult to access has not been published. At the same time, the Ministry of Justice is the holder of key databases, including registries of real estate, legal entities, public organizations, and other services that are used daily by notaries, businesses, and citizens.
Temporary disruptions may affect the execution of agreements, registration actions, and the provision of administrative services.
Energy situation in the capital
The disruptions in the registries are occurring against the backdrop of a tense situation in the capital’s energy system. On January 12, at the command of Ukrenergo, emergency power cuts were introduced in Kyiv.
Earlier that day, the Ministry of Energy reported a gradual transition from emergency restrictions to predictable hourly power cut schedules. However, due to new risks to the power system, the city was once again in emergency mode.
The State Enterprise “National Information Systems” assures that it is working to restore the stable operation of data centers as soon as possible. It is not yet clear when access to the registries will be fully restored.
