Electric car boom in Ukraine: June 2025 results

The Ukrainian electric vehicle market is showing impressive dynamics – in the first half of 2025, 5598 new electric passenger cars appeared in the country. June was especially successful, when a record 1396 electric vehicles were registered, which was a new achievement for the domestic fleet. The rating was compiled by the Institute for Automotive Market Research, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Chinese and European manufacturers shared market leadership. BYD (“Build Your Dream”) retains its dominant position, followed by Volkswagen, Honda, and the increasingly popular Zeekr brand. This shows how customer preferences are changing – they are increasingly trusting new players alongside traditional brands.
Among premium brands, Audi and BMW are particularly active, while Volvo, Mini and MG show moderate but stable sales growth.

The most popular models in June were Volkswagen ID Unyx and Honda e:NS1, which have already proven to be the best choice in the mid-price segment. The top three also includes the BYD Song Plus crossover, which attracts buyers with a combination of space and affordable price.
It is noteworthy that the top 10 includes new models from Zeekr and BYD, which were previously little known in Ukraine. This indicates the rapid adaptation of the market to Chinese brands and a change in the perception of electric vehicles – from an exotic novelty to practical everyday transportation.
