Emmy Awards 2025: triumph of HBO, Netflix and Apple TV, records and new names

The Emmy Award ceremony took place in Los Angeles. This year, several projects that have set the tone for American television won, Reuters reports, citing "Komersant Ukrainian".
- The HBO drama Pitt won the main award for Best Drama Series.
- The comedy “The Movie Studio” (Apple TV) was awarded as the best comedy series.
- Netflix miniseries “Young Adult” won the award for best project in its category.
Winners and records
- Noah Wyle won an Emmy for the first time in his career for his role in Pitt, after five unsuccessful nominations in the past.
- Seth Rogen won several awards at once – Best Comedy Actor, as well as for writing and directing “The Studio.”
- owen Cooper, 15, became the youngest winner in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in Boyhood.
- HBO and Netflix tied for first place in terms of the number of awards won with 30 Emmys each, while Apple TV won 22 statuettes.

What it means for the industry
The triumph of three platforms at once – HBO, Netflix, and Apple TV – shows the growing competition in the world of streaming. While the market used to be virtually divided between HBO and Netflix, Apple TV has now established itself as a full-fledged player.
The victories of new names such as Owen Cooper show the emergence of a younger generation of actors that is already shaping the new dynamics of the series industry.
