21 November 2025 14:55

The Business Management Branch of NNEGC Energoatom JSC has signed a contract for the supply of three new Hyundai Staria minivans worth UAH 6.81 million. This is stated in a message on the website of the public procurement system Prozorro, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to the contract, the cars are to be delivered in 2025. The order was received by Olimp Motor, the only participant in the open bidding, which means that the tender was held without competition.

What was purchased

The purchase included three Hyundai Staria vehicles in different configurations. The most expensive was the all-wheel drive minivan in the 7-Top version with the Bronze package worth UAH 2.61 million. It is equipped with a 2.2 diesel engine, an automatic transmission and an extended package of options:

  • surround view cameras,
  • front and rear parking sensors,
  • climate control system, heated steering wheel and seats,
  • bOSE audio system with 11 speakers,
  • nappa leather upholstery.

Two more cars are available in Business Plus (UAH 2.22 million) and Business (UAH 1.98 million) trim levels. In all cases, the prices were 1-3% lower than the prices listed on dealers’ websites, which indicates a minimal gap with market prices.

What we know about the supplier

“Olimp Motor is a Kyiv-based Hyundai dealer owned by Happy Auto. One of the company’s executives is Volodymyr Shepel, who also heads the winning bidder.

The procurement attracted attention because of the lack of competition in the bidding process, which often raises questions about the efficiency of public procurement. Similar tenders have been held before: in late September, the National Bank of Ukraine ordered two similar Hyundai Staria minivans for UAH 5.33 million.
