The first payments and loans under state support programs during the energy emergency have already been calculated, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said on Telegram, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

“Assistance to sole proprietors for energy independence. In one week, more than 18,000 sole proprietors in groups 2-3 applied for UAH 180.6 million. Of these, 14,400 applications have already been financed by the state. Entrepreneurs who provide basic services to people will be able to repair or buy a generator, fuel, or pay for utilities,” Svyrydenko wrote.

Also, according to her, the first preferential loan at 0% in the amount of UAH 1.1 million was issued for generators and other energy equipment within the framework of the “Affordable Loans 5-7-9” program.

“As of today, 18 banks have received 963 applications from businesses for a total amount of over UAH 1 billion. The loan is provided for a term of up to 3 years for an amount of up to UAH 10 million,” the prime minister said.

According to Svyrydenko, 115 loan agreements have already been signed for a total amount of UAH 2.19 billion to finance own generation projects for businesses and condominiums.

“In total, businesses submitted 173 applications for UAH 6.0 billion for the installation of gas turbine, gas piston, biogas, and other generating units as a systemic solution for energy sustainability,” she said.

Under the SvitloDom program, the first 19 applications from apartment buildings in Kyiv and the Kyiv region have been approved for a total amount of UAH 5.1 million.

“The funds will be transferred to applicants within two days after confirmation. The buildings will be able to purchase generators, batteries, inverters, high-voltage battery control units, and solar panels for autonomous water, heat, lighting, and elevator supply during power outages,” the head of government said.

She also reported that more than 30,000 people in areas where the situation during the cold spell was most difficult had received heat packages.

“The kits contain items that help people stay warm, stay connected, and charge medical devices. They were provided by the Naftogaz Group for people with disabilities and single pensioners in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Other large state-owned companies have joined the initiative, including Energoatom, Ukrenergo, Ukrhydroenergo, and Lisy Ukrainy. They are already providing an additional 70,000 heat packages to communities across Ukraine where the situation with electricity and heat supply remains difficult,” Svyrydenko said.
