The Boxing Federation of Ukraine joins the initiatives of the National Platform for Sports Integrity

The Boxing Federation of Ukraine supports the activities of the Of the National Sports Integrity Platform on fair play. The parties agreed on this during an open discussion held at the premises of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine with the participation of the Favbet Foundation.
Only specific actions were on the agenda. Participants focused on the importance of establishing ethics committees in sports federations, establishing information exchange with the National Platform, and legal steps to protect the integrity of sports in Ukraine. It is about building a system that is already actively working.
Oleksii Perevezentsev, First Vice President of the NOC of Ukraine and Deputy Chairman of the National Platform, emphasized that integrity is primarily about trust in sport and, accordingly, in the country. This is part of integrity.
Oleh Ilchenko, President of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, emphasized that there are many temptations in sports, especially for young people. The organization understands this and does not turn a blind eye to the problems. Serious work is underway to protect athletes from negative external influences. Even before he was elected president, Ilchenko dealt with ethical violations in refereeing, so he understands well how important it is to build a system in a preventive manner.
Other speakers at the event included Nataliia Radchuk, secretary of the interagency working group National Platform for Sports Integrity, Andrii Nekrutov, an expert of the National Platform, and Sviatoslav Syrota, head of the NGO Play Fair. They talked about detecting suspicious actions in sports, the need for established inter-institutional cooperation and disciplinary processes within sports organizations.
“We believe in sports where everything is decided by skill, not by backstage agreements. Supporting fair play creates an environment where talent and hard work of the athlete wins. This motivates athletes to play for results,” commented the Favbet Foundation commented.
The Foundation supports the activities of the National Integrity Platform and is a regular participant in meetings with athletes and all representatives of the sports movement in general. The Boxing Federation of Ukraine has expressed its readiness to join further initiatives of the National Platform and support transparent mechanisms in its activities.

Any investment in sports is meaningless if the system is not fair. We support those projects where athletes can focus on the result, not on all kinds of manipulations. Only honest sport is worth all the effort,” emphasized Andriy Matyukha, President of Favbet Foundation.
