The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has unveiled three mascots for the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The information was published on the organization’s official website, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The mascots are the characters Clutch, Zayu, and Maple.

Each of them symbolizes one of the tournament’s host countries:

  • Clutch is a bald eagle representing the United States.
  • Zayu is a jaguar that represents Mexico.
  • Maple is a moose symbolizing Canada.

“Maple, Zayu and Clutch are full of joy, energy and spirit of unity, just like the World Cup itself. The three mascots will play a key role in the incredible, entertaining atmosphere we are creating for this game-changing tournament,” said Gianni Infantino, Chairman of the organization.

The FIFA World Cup will be held in 2026 from June 11 to July 19. The current winner of the tournament is Argentina.

The final match of the tournament is scheduled for July 19.

Initially, 32 national teams were to participate in the final stage of the championship, as usual, but on January 10, 2017, Infantino announced an increase in the number of participants to 48.
