France urgently convenes UN Security Council meeting on Iran

French President Emmanuel Macron said that his country is initiating an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council due to the outbreak of war in the Middle East. Paris is also ready to join in defending its partner countries.

“France calls for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council. I am in close contact with our European partners and friends in the Middle East,” Macron wrote.
According to the French leader, the start of a war between the US, Israel, and Iran would have serious consequences for international peace and security.
He stressed that all measures are currently being taken to ensure the security of “our national territory, our citizens, and our interests in the Middle East.” Macron also warned that this escalation is dangerous for everyone.
“France… is ready to use the necessary resources to protect its closest partners if they ask for it. The ongoing escalation is dangerous for everyone. It must stop,” the French president said in a post.
Macron added that the Iranian regime has no choice but to participate in good faith in negotiations to end its nuclear and ballistic programs, as well as its activities aimed at destabilizing the region.
“This is absolutely necessary for the security of everyone in the Middle East. The Iranian people must also be able to freely build their future,” the French leader wrote.
Summarizing the phrase about people, Macron stressed that the mass killings committed by the Islamic regime deprive the Iranian people of their right to vote. He stressed that this right must be restored, and the sooner this happens, the better.
War in the Middle East
As a reminder, today, Saturday, February 28, Israel launched a preemptive attack on Iran to eliminate security threats. Due to the threat of retaliatory strikes, a state of emergency was declared in the country.
It is known that this attack on Iran is a joint operation by Israel and the United States.
US leader Donald Trump has already confirmed that the US has launched a military campaign in Iran to eliminate threats from the current regime. According to him, the main goal of the operation is to protect the American people and allies.
In response, Iran launched missiles toward Israeli territory. In addition, Tehran struck US military facilities in Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait.
