Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko discussed with Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov the possibility of Azerbaijani gas supplies to Ukraine.

As reported by [Kommersant], Galushchenko reported this on Facebook. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“We discussed the possibility of supplying Azerbaijani gas to Ukraine as part of the European strategy for diversifying energy supplies. We are open to new formats of cooperation in the gas sector. In particular, Ukraine offers its underground gas storage facilities for international gas storage. Our underground gas storage facilities are the largest in Europe and are available to foreign companies under the “customs warehouse” regime without taxes and fees,” Galushchenko wrote.

In addition, the parties discussed their participation in renewable energy projects.

Galushchenko noted that the total amount of support for Ukrainian energy companies from Azerbaijan is about $42 million.
