General Staff: number of clashes at the frontline has increased

The number of combat engagements along the entire frontline has increased to 80 since the beginning of the day, with the largest number of battles taking place in the Pokrovsk sector. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
It is noted that the Russians also continue to try to push through the defences at the Kupyansk and Kurakhiv directions.
Reportedly, Russian troops launched six guided aerial bombs at Vovchansk, two at Bilyi Kolodyazh, and another at Staryi Saltov from their territory. Russians fired eight unguided aerial missiles at Vovchanske Khutory.
One combat engagement took place in theKharkiv sector.
The number of combat engagements in theKupyansk sector increased to 13. Five hostile attacks were successfully repelled by Ukrainian defenders, eight more are ongoing near Sinkivka, Novoselivka, Novoyehorivka and Stelmakhivka.
In theLiman sector, the Russian army is attacking in the areas of Nevske and Yampol. One engagement was unsuccessful for the invaders, and another is ongoing.
The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, 37 combat engagements have taken place there. the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled 27 assaults, and 10 more battles are ongoing. The situation is under control.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops attempted to attack Ukrainian positions in the Kurakhove sector seven times. Three assaults were repelled by Ukrainian defenders, and four more are ongoing near Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka.
In theVremivsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks.
In theOrikhivsk sector, fighting continues near Mala Tokmachka and Novodanylivka. Three of them were unsuccessful for the Russians, and two are still ongoing.
