General Staff releases details of night attack on Druzhba oil pipeline

Ukrainian kamikaze drones have attacked an oil pumping station of the Transneft Druzhba pipeline in the Bryansk region. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to the General Staff, the Unecha oil pumping station in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, which plays a key role in providing the invaders’ army with fuel, was hit. As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire and significant damage were recorded in the area of the building of the retaining pumping station.

In addition, there was information about explosions in the area of the tank farm and in the areas where the main and retaining pumps are located.

The Unecha oil pumping station provides oil transportation for two oil pipelines simultaneously and has an annual throughput capacity of up to 60 million tons of raw materials.

Detailed information on the extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces will continue to take measures to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian Federation, deprive the occupiers of fuel and lubricants, and force the aggressor to end the war against Ukraine.

Russia has announced a drone attack, with social media reporting that drones attacked the Unecha oil refinery in the Bryansk region, a station that had already been attacked on August 6.

Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz did not provide details of the nighttime attack, saying only that 15 drones were shot down over the region and no one was injured.

Oil refineries were attacked in Volgograd and Sloviansk-on-Kuban. No significant damage was reported.

In one of the districts of Volgograd, the wreckage of a drone fell on the roof of a 16-story residential building. According to preliminary reports, a drone hit a court building in Belgorod, no injuries were reported.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the alleged downing of 46 Ukrainian drones over six Russian regions, occupied Crimea, and the Sea of Azov at night. No information was provided on the number of drones launched or the number of hits.
