Russia spreads fakes about “advancement” in Donetsk region again
The Russian Ministry of Defense has once again spread fictions about the alleged “liberation” of settlements in Donetsk region, including Klynove.
The General Staff noted that these statements are part of a standard propaganda campaign that Russia has been actively using since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
“According to the logic of the Russian statement, their units should have ‘advanced’, capturing the village of Viroliubivka on the way, which is not the case,” the General Staff emphasized.

Ukraine does not confirm any losses of equipment claimed by Russia
Along with the fake news about the “capture” of Klinove, the Russian side has spread information about allegedly significant losses of Ukrainian armored vehicles.
The General Staff emphasizes:
- “Russians traditionally do not provide any evidence of such ‘losses’;
- such statements are part of the information warfare;
- the purpose of such messages is to demoralize Ukrainians and exaggerate the “successes” of the occupation forces.
The situation at the front is under control
Ukrainian troops are holding the line, destroying the occupiers’ manpower and equipment, and preventing breakthroughs.
The General Staff emphasized that
- “No breakthroughs have been recorded in the aforementioned areas of Donetsk region;
- Defense forces are in full control of the situation;
- the enemy is trying to impose information “victories” every day that have nothing to do with real events on the battlefield.
