Getmantsev Demands the Resignation of the Leadership of the Ministry of Digital Transformation and PlayCity

Danylo Getmantsev, a member of parliament and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, has stated that personnel changes are needed in the field of digitalization due to the failure of key reforms.
He made these remarks in an interview with the YouTube channel "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to the MP, responsibility for the failure to launch the electronic excise tax system and the state online monitoring system for gambling (DOM) lies, in particular, with the former Minister of Digital Transformation and current Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov.
“I’m not criticizing individuals. I have nothing personal against Mykhailo Fedorov. He’s a normal, likable guy. But if this normal, likable guy fails to implement the electronic excise tax reform, which is supposed to bring vodka and tobacco out of the shadows, I certainly won’t stay silent,” he emphasized.
Getmantsev noted that the launch of the electronic excise tax has already had to be postponed due to the system’s technical unpreparedness.
“We were forced to postpone its implementation in the Rada until November of this year. I met with business representatives this week. They say they shipped us software that doesn’t work. How can you ship software that doesn’t work?” the deputy said.
Separately, he criticized the situation with the launch of the State Online Monitoring System (DSOM), which, according to him, was supposed to go live back in 2022.
“I assert that Mykhailo Fedorov personally derailed the implementation of the State Online Monitoring System. This system has not been launched since 2022. To this day,” says Getmantsev
The deputy also spoke of possible deliberate actions that are hindering the system’s launch.
“They are deliberately creating conditions to prevent the State Online Monitoring System from functioning. I consider this a crime. And the Prosecutor General’s Office opened a criminal case this week regarding the sabotage of the implementation of the State Online Monitoring System by PlayCity and the Ministry of Digital Transformation,” he stated.
Against this backdrop, Getmantsev directly called for resignations.
“I am convinced that the head of PlayCity must resign. He is definitely not the right person for the job. And this disgrace at the helm of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Bornyakov, must also go,” he believes.
Specifically, this refers to the head of the state-owned enterprise PlayCity, Gennady Novikov, and the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Alexander Bornyakov.
In conclusion, the deputy emphasized that parliament will continue to monitor these reforms and demand not just statements, but real results.
