Ukrainian defense technology startup Himera, known for producing radios that are resistant to electronic warfare, has announced the supply of its communication systems to the US Air Force. This was reported by Defence-blog, according to
The company said that in the fall of 2024, it successfully sold its tactical radios outside Ukraine for the first time, namely to the Air Force Research Laboratory.
“They decided to test our product and evaluate whether it makes sense to apply our technology on a larger scale in the US Army,” the company said.
Recently, the company announced a partnership with Quantropi, a firm specializing in quantum data encryption technologies. This collaboration involves the integration of quantum-secure encryption into Himera G1 PRO tactical radios, R1 repeaters, B1 standalone repeaters, and E1 Internet extenders. Under the agreement, Quantropi is the exclusive distributor of Himera products in the United States and Canada with the right to promote them in selected NATO and allied markets.
Himera tactical radios, tested in combat in the most intense defensive and offensive operations in Ukraine.
Ukrainian defense company Radionix to cooperate with Swedish Saab
The Swedish company Saab and the Ukrainian defense company Radionix have signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation that will focus on the development and maintenance of sensor systems and defense electronics. This was reported by Dev.ua with reference to the Saab press service.
The statement emphasizes that the partnership will build on the strengths of both companies.
Radionix is a research and production enterprise of the defense industry of Ukraine that develops, manufactures, modernizes, maintains and repairs onboard radar systems and optoelectronic equipment.
Saab is a leading defense and security company that develops, manufactures and services advanced systems in aeronautics, weapons, command and control, sensors and underwater systems.

Americans and Ukrainians develop drones together
The Wall Street Journal reported on a partnership agreement concluded between Ukrainian manufacturers and the Southern California startup CX2, which uses its software on Ukrainian drones. And this experience of cooperation has already been appreciated by the US Armed Forces.
The publication also mentions another joint venture, Blue Arrow. It was created by the Pittsburgh-based startup KEF Robotics and the Ukrainian company Sensorama Lab. The joint project develops software and sensor systems for drones that allow drones to operate in congested airspace and maintain high efficiency in combat conditions. This project has already received venture capital funding.
As a reminder, Ukrainian company Skiftech, which develops training simulation systems, announced the day before that it had won a contract from the US Army.
Skiftech became one of 10 companies contracted by the US Army to develop and maintain simulation equipment for military training.
