Head of the European Commission announces the introduction of the 19th package of sanctions against Russia

At an emergency joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Brussels, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the 19th package of sanctions against Russia would be ready in early September.

“While the fighting continues, we intend to adopt the 19th package of sanctions in early September,” she said.
Von der Leyen added that European leaders will continue to exert diplomatic and economic pressure on the country.
Earlier it was reported that the European Union (EU) decided to continue to exert sanctions pressure on Russia after talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
