Zelenskyy: Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi is preparing two plans for war, depending on US aid

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that US military assistance will determine how the Armed Forces of Ukraine will operate on the battlefield.

Zelensky said that without US assistance, it would not only be difficult for Ukraine to gain new achievements on the battlefield, but it would also be difficult to continue to defend itself this year.
“People will be prepared, but the ammunition will not be prepared and the brigades will not be ready… not only for our counter-offensive, they will not be ready to defend themselves, to be strong. It will be very difficult,”
– Zelenskyy said.
The President stressed that time is of the essence. According to him, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, is currently developing two options for a plan of further action. If Ukraine receives help from the United States, it will be able to launch a counter-offensive against Russia. If not, it will have to focus only on defence.
Zelenskyy added that he had spoken to US House Speaker Mike Johnson about the aid package.
“He said that he would do everything to support Ukraine, and he is on our side, and he understands how heroic our people, our soldiers and civilians are,” Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, at a press conference following the Ukraine. Year 2024″ forum, Zelensky said that the military command has a clear planfor warfare for 2024, but is preparing several alternative plans due to information leaks.
