The Salut hotel in the center of Kiev will be sold at auction. This was announced by the National Bank of Ukraine, informs "Komersant Ukrainian"
The press service said that the court authorized the sale of the hotel, which is a property guarantor for the obligations of the bankrupt bank “Finance and Credit” of businessman Konstantin Zhevago.
The Northern Economic Court of Appeal upheld the ruling of the Economic Court of Kyiv.
It is noted that the ruling of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal is not subject to cassational appeal.
The authorization granted by the court allows the regulator to foreclose on the debtor’s property on competitive terms and under the control of the court.
In addition, the right of a secured creditor to foreclose on the debtor’s property by court order in such a way within the framework of the ongoing bankruptcy process significantly simplifies the creditor’s access to mechanisms for satisfaction of claims at the expense of collateral.
Recall that PJSC “Hotel Salut” is a property guarantor for the obligations of JSC “Bank “Finance and Credit” to the National Bank on refinancing loans.
on September 17, 2015 the National Bank classified Bank Finance and Credit as insolvent.
At the time of this decision, the bank’s shareholder was Konstantin Zhevago, who indirectly owned a 97.67% stake in the bank.
The ultimate owner of PJSC “Hotel Salut” is Foster Group Management inc. (Panama), according to YouControl data.
In June 2020 the Economic Court of Kyiv within the framework of the bankruptcy case of Hotel Salut recognized the claims of a number of creditors, including the claims of the NBU for UAH 4.2 billion as secured by a pledge of the debtor’s property.
The total debt of JSC “Finance and Credit Bank” on all refinancing loans as of December 2, 2024 is UAH 5.7 billion.

It was built in 1984 by architect Avraham Miletsky.
