Electricity restriction schedules are now in effect in all regions of Ukraine: what is the reason

On Wednesday, November 19, all regions of Ukraine are applying measures to limit electricity consumption after the nighttime Russian attack on energy facilities, according to Ukrenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

In the regions where emergency blackouts were introduced in the morning, hourly blackout schedules are now in effect. Also, in most regions, schedules of power restrictions for industrial consumers continue to operate, Ukrenergo reports.

According to the company, as a result of the nighttime Russian strike, damage to power equipment and power outages were recorded in several regions.

Ukrainians are asked to conserve electricity and not to turn on powerful electrical appliances until 22:00.

Shelling on November 19

Russia conducted a combined attack on Ukraine overnight, using attack drones, hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, and other missile systems.

In response to the massive attacks on the western regions, Poland has sent in allied aircraft, fighter jets and an early warning aircraft.

Kharkiv suffered the most: a kamikaze attack by Geranium-2 drones resulted in at least 36 casualties, including two children. Combined strikes also affected Lviv and Ternopil.

In Ternopil, the shelling damaged residential buildings and other buildings, and there are dead and injured. Rescue and emergency services are working at the scene.
