Schedules of power outages on November 7: who will be affected by the restrictions

Today, November 7, hourly power outage schedules will be introduced in Ukraine. The restrictions will be introduced in most regions of the country due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“On November 7, consumption restriction measures will be forced in most regions of Ukraine,” the company said.
Why the power is being cut off again
Ukrenergo explained that the power system suffered significant damage as a result of another massive Russian missile and drone strike. As a result, part of the generation had to be shut down for repairs, and the balance between electricity production and consumption is currently unstable.
When and who will be cut off
Hourly rolling blackouts for households will be in effect from 08:00 to 21:00, with the volume of 0.5 to 1.5 queues according to the schedules of the regional power distribution companies.
For industrial enterprises, power restrictions are introduced from 08:00 to 22:00.
Ukrenergo urged Ukrainians to follow the updates on the pages of their regional power distribution companies, as the time and scale of outages may vary depending on the situation in the power system.
Who determines the number of queues in the regions
The decision on the number of LFO queues to be used in certain regions is made by the chief dispatcher of Ukrenergo. It depends on the level of electricity deficit in a particular region, consumption volumes, number of industrial facilities and critical infrastructure enterprises.
“Consumption in different regions of Ukraine differs significantly, so blackout schedules are formed individually for each regional power company,” the Ministry of Energy said.
What the energy companies ask
Energy companies urge Ukrainians to use electricity as economically as possible:
- not to turn on energy-intensive appliances at the same time,
- limit the use of electric stoves, boilers, and air conditioners,
- turn off lights in rooms where no one is present.
