Business grants for veterans: Cabinet of Ministers simplified conditions

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the procedure for granting grants for the establishment or development of their own business to participants in hostilities, persons with disabilities due to the war and members of their families. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, informs "Komersant Ukrainian"
“The Government adopts a decree that makes veteran grants even more accessible. We give the defenders the opportunity to choose the terms of the project: three, five or seven years,” said Denis Shmygal.
Prime Minister added that entrepreneurs, who will pay taxes on the amount of the grant during the period of realization of their projects, will receive one more grant payment if they wish.
The obligations to create jobs in the project, for which the grant is allocated, are also relaxed. From now on, veterans will be given an additional year to employ workers.
The government has also decided to improve the provision of psychological assistance to veterans.
How to get the “Own Business” grant program
Under the grant program “Own Business” Ukrainians can receive a micro-grant from 50 to 250 thousand UAH. The funds can be spent on the purchase or leasing of equipment, purchase of raw materials and supplies, rent of premises.
Both an existing entrepreneur and a person with no experience in such activities can get a micro-grant.
The obligatory condition for granting funds is the creation of 1-2 jobs, depending on the amount of the grant.
The government’s eRobot project includes grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial activity and job creation. In particular, these are microgrant programs for starting or developing one’s own business, grants for establishing and developing processing enterprises, planting orchards and vineyards, and greenhouse farming.
