Grossi announces start of repair of ZNPP lines after “localized ceasefire”

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi has announced the start of repairs on the damaged external power supply lines of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
The relevant information was published on the agency’s official account on the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
It is specified that the repair work became possible after the establishment of local ceasefire zones. According to Grossi, the restoration of external power supply to ZNPP is crucial for nuclear safety.
The IAEA emphasized that the Russian and Ukrainian sides had cooperated constructively with the organization to implement a complex repair plan.
on September 23, the high-voltage power supply line of Zaporizhzhia NPP Dniprovska was damaged by shelling, after which the plant was completely disconnected from external power supply.
