The Nova postal and logistics group is considering the acquisition of several banks to strengthen the position of its financial company, NovaPay.

This was reported by the group’s co-owner , Vyacheslav Klimov, in a comment to Forbes Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, the goal of the acquisition is to expand the product line for Nova customers and strengthen its market position. Earlier, on March 19 during the Nova Summit, Klimov noted that NovaPay may soon surpass the financial company in terms of the scale of services provided.

It is worth noting that NovaPay was founded in 2013 as an internal service for Nova Poshta customers. Currently, the app is used by over 800,000 customers, the company serves 70,000 entrepreneurs, and its payroll project is used by over 310 external companies. In September 2025, NovaPay launched the NovaPay EU app in Lithuania.

NovaPay was the first non-bank financial institution in Ukraine to receive an extended license from the NBU, which allows it to open accounts and issue cards. Ihor Syrovatko became the company’s new CEO in December 2025 and will step down by the end of March 2026.

At the end of 2025, NovaPay’s net profit decreased by 21.2% compared to 2024—to UAH 2.6 billion—while revenue grew to over UAH 10 billion, and net assets increased by 26%—to UAH 7.3 billion. The acquisition of new banks could be the next step in the development of the Nova Group’s financial segment.

At the same time, the total volume of transfers through the NovaPay system reached UAH 308.5 billion last year, representing a 31% increase.
