Two adult patients with COVID-19 were admitted to intensive care units. No fatalities from COVID-19 complications were recorded.
Vaccination and prevention
Vaccination against COVID-19 in Kyiv remains free for the population, while seasonal flu vaccinations are available only on the private market, as they are not included in the mandatory calendar and are not purchased by the state.
The peak of flu cases in Ukraine may occur in January-February
Doctors predict that the peak flu incidence in Ukraine may occur in January-February 2026. The increase in cases among children and adults in December signals the need for preventive measures, including wearing masks in schools and timely vaccination of those who have not yet done so.
Overall, the situation is still under control: the incidence rate remains below average, and there are no deaths from COVID-19. However, as the peak of the flu season approaches, the authorities and healthcare facilities are calling for vigilance and prevention.
