Ukrainian intelligence continues to carry out targeted strikes on Russian military infrastructure. On the night of December 20-21, two Russian warplanes participating in the war against Ukraine were destroyed at an airfield near Lipetsk. According to the GUR, these are Su-27 and Su-30 fighters.
Both machines were in an aircraft hangar, which indicates a thorough preparation of the operation and precise knowledge of the internal security of the facility.

The estimated cost of one such fighter jet is tens of millions of dollars.
The total losses of the Russian Federation from the defeat of two aircraft could reach up to $100 million, not including the associated costs of infrastructure and logistics.
How the special operation was prepared
The operation was planned for about two weeks. During this time, the following was done
- patrol routes were studied;
- analyzed the schedules of the guards’ shifts;
- the optimal time for infiltration was determined.
As a result, a representative of the resistance movement was able to enter the military facility unnoticed, destroy the aircraft, and leave the airfield unhindered.
