DIU shows how drones hit two Russian Tuna boats

Soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine have destroyed two Russian boats of the KC-701 Tuna type in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The intelligence service said that Ukrainian MAGURA V5 surface drones were used for this purpose.

“On 30 May 2024, a special unit of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine “Group 13″, using Ukrainian Magura V5 strike maritime drones, once again effectively attacked the ship and boat fleet of the aggressor state of Russia in the temporarily occupied Crimea,” the statement said,

In order to neutralise the attack marine drones on the approach to the Narrow Bay, the Russian occupiers took to the skies 32 times, including Su-27/30/35, MiG-29, Be-12, An-26 aircraft and Ka-27/29 and Mi-8 helicopters, the DIU said.

The invaders also chaotically used small arms and 30-mm cannons. Despite this, the scouts successfully hit two boats of the Russian occupiers.

It should be noted that “Tuna” is a diesel boat with an aluminium hull, which, depending on the modification, is designed for travel or patrol trips, recreation on the water. The length is 8.8 m, the width is 2.5 m, and the passenger capacity is up to six people. These boats are mostly owned by Russian border guards and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It should be added that since the beginning of 2024, the Group 13 special unit has already destroyed Russian vessels using Magura V5 attack drones: the Ivanivets missile ship, the Caesar Kunikov large amphibious assault ship, the Sergei Kotov corvette, and the Mangust high-speed patrol boat.
