DIU discloses details of evacuation from Israel: what Ukrainians who have not yet left should do

Ukraine has conducted a successful operation to evacuate civilians from the territory of Israel, where the security situation continues to deteriorate. As reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, 176 people were evacuated as a result of the special operation, the [Kommersant]

Among them are 133 Ukrainian citizens, as well as citizens of Moldova, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Estonia and the United States.

The plane with the passengers successfully landed in the Republic of Moldova. From there, the Ukrainian citizens will continue their journey home.

“My family and I were in Tel Aviv on vacation, we went to get away from the war for a while, but we found the same horror there: explosions, shelling. I went to the embassy’s website and applied for evacuation. And just a few days later, we are back in Ukraine. I am grateful to everyone who made the effort: our President, Mr. Zelenskyy, the embassy and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine,” said the resident of Kyiv region who was evacuated from Tel Aviv.

The DIU emphasized that the operation was part of a broader effort to return Ukrainian citizens due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East. Work on evacuating Ukrainian citizens who wish to leave for safer regions or return to their homeland continues.

“When the shelling started, my son and I were staying with my mom in Tel Aviv. Our flight was canceled, and my mother turned to the embassy to help us leave. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who helped us do this. We are grateful to Ukraine for not leaving its citizens in trouble. I am happy to be here,” said the evacuated Kyiv resident.

The round-the-clock hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is also available at: 38-044-238-16-57.

As reported by [Kommersant] The Embassies of Ukraine in Israel and Iran are compiling evacuation lists and developing options for evacuating citizens. Information on possible evacuation routes is available on the information resources of the Ukrainian embassies.

“If you find yourself in an emergency situation or your life or health is threatened, immediately contact the nearest foreign diplomatic mission of Ukraine or the round-the-clock hotline of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine: 38-044-238-15-88,” the ministry added.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Ukrainian citizens leave the territory of Israel and Iran as soon as possible until the situation in the region stabilizes.
