Elon Musk threatens to create a new party if Trump’s tax bill is passed

Billionaire Elon Musk has said he will create a new political force, the American Party, if the bill to cut taxes and government spending initiated by US President Donald Trump is passed.
He wrote about this on the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“If this crazy spending bill passes, the next day the American Party will be formed. Our country needs an alternative to Democratic-Republican one-party rule so that the people have a voice.”
In response, Trump said on his Truth Social social network that Musk “has received more subsidies than anyone in history” and without them he would have to stop doing business:
“Elon would probably have to close the business and go home to South Africa. No more rocket launches, no more satellites, no more electric cars, and our country would save a fortune.”
Trump also said that he would ask the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) to “thoroughly investigate” Musk’s business.
What is known about Trump’s budget cuts bill
on May 22, the US House of Representatives supported Trump’s budget cuts bill, which he called “one big, great piece of legislation.”
The document provides for the extension of tax breaks introduced in 2017, as well as increased funding for the army and border security.
Musk then publicly called for the bill to be “killed” and an alternative to be developed.
on June 29, the document passed a key vote in the Republican-controlled Senate.
