Musk reached the record figure due to the growth of Tesla shares by 4%, which increased his capital to an incredible half a trillion dollars.
Back in 2020, the American entrepreneur’s fortune was only $25 billion, but a few months later he became one of the five richest people in the world with $100 billion in his accounts.
In December 2024, Musk became the only person to break the $400 billion mark. His closest competitor, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, is now about 150 billion behind.
Analysts predict that Musk could become the first trillionaire in human history. According to Forbes, this could happen as early as early 2033, when he will receive the next tranche of remuneration from Tesla’s board of directors for an amount that could potentially bring his capital to $1 trillion.
