Industrial parks in Ukraine: 30 “growth points” in 4 years of war

As of today, there are about 30 active industrial parks in Ukraine, where factories are being built or are already operating, communications are being installed, and industrial infrastructure is being created. This was stated in an interview with the "Komersant Ukrainian" YouTube channel by Ukrainian MP Dmytro Kysylevskyi.
“In this parliamentary term, we have taken a number of very important steps in the development of industrial parks. While in 2021 we had, relatively speaking, one or two industrial parks that could be considered operational, as of today we have about 30 industrial parks that we consider active,” Kysylevsky said.
He explained what “active” industrial parks are.
“These are industrial parks where industrial enterprises are operating or under construction, or industrial parks where industrial infrastructure is currently being created or built: substations, gas, water, railways, roads, etc.” he said.
“The development of industrial parks is accompanied not only by the construction of factories, but also by the creation of engineering and transport infrastructure and industrial real estate for new investors,” the MP said.
“At the end of 2024, we had 25 plants that were being built or are being built in industrial parks. There was about 180 MW of electricity capacity available for industrial consumers to connect to, and at least 100 thousand square meters of industrial real estate ready to accommodate new or relocated enterprises. I think this figure for real estate is underestimated. This year, we plan to reassess the volume of industrial real estate and capacities. I think the amount of real estate built will be significantly higher. The volume of infrastructure is also increasing,” the MP added.
