Iran will never give up uranium enrichment.
The Islamic Republic’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Irani, said this in an interview with the US television channel CBS, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
The diplomat noted that uranium enrichment activities, according to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), are an inalienable right of Tehran. And Iran intends to realize this right. He emphasized that uranium enrichment will never be stopped.
on June 29, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said that his agency’s experts saw no signs that Iran’s nuclear program was aimed at creating nuclear weapons.
The IAEA chief also said that Iran could resume production of enriched uranium in a few months, as it has the industrial and technological capabilities to do so. According to Grossi, he reiterated his call to return to the negotiating table and find a “technically sound” solution to the issue of Iran’s nuclear program, adding that there is now an opportunity for this.
