Ireland will provide Ukraine with 100 million euros to counter Russian combined attacks, as well as 25 million euros for energy supplies.
According to "Komersant Ukrainian", this was stated by Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, quoted by The Guardian.
According to him, Ireland will offer Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy not only words of support during his visit to Dublin, but also practical assistance.
“An additional 100 million euros will be provided for non-lethal military assistance to help Ukraine withstand nighttime attacks by Russian missiles and drones. Ireland will also provide €25 million for energy supplies to Ukraine to help counter Russia’s cynical and ruthless attacks,” Martin said.
The newspaper writes that today, December 2, the Prime Minister of Ireland and the President of Ukraine will sign an agreement entitled “Roadmap for Partnership between Ukraine and Ireland until 2030”.
It includes political and security cooperation, as well as initiatives in the areas of reconstruction, education, and culture.
It should be noted that on the night of Tuesday, December 2, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in Ireland on an official visit.
This visit was the first official visit of the President of Ukraine to Ireland. A number of meetings are scheduled throughout the day. In particular, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov is to present Zelenskyy with a detailed report on the talks with the American delegation in Florida.
