The Italian brand Trussardi has closed all its operations in Russia: details

T.R.S. Distribution LLC, which operates stores for the Italian brand Trussardi in Russia, closed all of its standalone locations in the third quarter of 2025. This is evident from the explanatory note to the company’s financial statements. These included stores in GUM, on Kolorovy Boulevard, as well as in the large shopping centers “Evropeysky” and “Metropolis.”

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Russian propaganda media.

The fact that the units were only closed by last fall indicates a gradual exit from lease agreements, according to Artem Suvorov, project manager of the “Consumer Sector and Agribusiness” practice at Strategy Partners. For the premium fashion segment, such a delay is understandable: lease agreements in prime locations are rarely terminated all at once, he notes.

Trussardi announced that it was leaving the Russian market in 2022. In 2024, reports emerged that the brand planned to return to the Russian market—media outlets wrote that it would open a store at Khodynskoye Pole in Moscow, but this never happened. The closure of the branches indicates the finalization of the decision to leave, according to Inna Golfand, an expert on retail and consumer markets. She believes the brand had ceased active operations earlier and simply completed the legal closure of its structure in 2025.

Trussardi is a luxury Italian fashion and lifestyle brand founded in 1911 by Dante Trussardi. Starting as a leather glove workshop, the company has evolved into a global fashion house offering premium clothing, bags, shoes, perfumes, and accessories, combining classic elegance with modern design.

The brand is known for its high quality and is considered a symbol of Italian luxury.

In 2022, according to NF Group, 23 international brands announced their exit from Russia. In 2025, six more foreign brands left the country (none of them were Italian). According to Nikoliers analysts, seven more international retailers have left the Russian market since the beginning of 2026. Meanwhile, 15 global companies exited the Russian Federation last year, including four Italian clothing brands—Emiliano Zapata, Kappa, Doucal’s, and North Sails—the NF Group added.

The French luxury brand Louis Vuitton, which announced its exit in 2022, has also reduced its presence in Russia to a minimum. The lease for its store in Moscow’s “Seasons” shopping center has been terminated. By the end of 2025, the brand had only one store left under lease in Russia—in a building on Bolshaya Dmitrovka—while the Russian division’s revenue for the year amounted to 0 rubles.
