Israel strikes Iranian nuclear facility – Iran responds with mysterious video

18 June 11:31

On Wednesday night, Israel carried out a large-scale air attack on a centrifuge manufacturing facility in Tehran, which Tel Aviv claims is directly linked to the country’s nuclear weapons program. The strike was part of a broader operation involving more than 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets that also attacked the Islamic Republic’s missile production facilities, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing CNN.

“More than 50 Air Force fighter jets, following a precise tip-off from the Intelligence Directorate, completed a series of strikes on military targets near Tehran,”

– the Israeli military said in an official statement.

The key target, according to them, was a centrifuge production facility, one of the main elements needed for uranium enrichment. Israel explicitly states that this facility is used by Iran to advance its military nuclear program.

“The Iranian regime is enriching uranium intended for nuclear weapons,”

– the IDF once again emphasized.

In addition, Israeli planes attacked facilities where Iran produces surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles – these components are considered by Tel Aviv to be part of a comprehensive military threat from Tehran.

The United States and Israel traditionally interpret information about Iran’s nuclear program differently. American intelligence agencies are more reserved in their assessments. In particular, in March of this year, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said that, according to U.S. intelligence, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei did not order the resumption of nuclear weapons, the development of which was stopped in 2003.

Nevertheless, Israel believes that the nuclear threat from Iran is real and urgent, and seeks to prevent any progress in this direction, including through military action.

Iran’s response

Iran’s military responses are somewhat less impressive than its rhetoric. This time, in response to the strikes on nuclear infrastructure, Iran released an intimidating video generated by artificial intelligence. In it, an Iranian soldier holds a small bomb with a radiation sign and the word “possible” written on the side.

As reported by , the air confrontation between Iran and Israel has been going on for six days in a row. On Wednesday, both sides launched another round of missile strikes. U.S. President Donald Trump demands Tehran’s “unconditional surrender.”
