23 November 2025 21:15

The Israeli government has appointed Roy Rosenblit as its new ambassador to Ukraine, replacing Mikhail Brodsky. Brodsky has been Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine since 2021.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Israeli newspaper Vesti.

It is noted that the term of office of Brodsky, appointed in 2021 during the government of Naftali Bennett (now the government of Benjamin Netanyahu is in power), expires, and he will receive a new appointment. Rosenblit will replace him as Israel’s plenipotentiary ambassador to Ukraine.

Open data shows that Rosenblit has not previously worked on Ukraine. his “closest” position to Eastern Europe was as a counselor at the Israeli Embassy in Moscow.

Rosenblit also previously served as a part-time ambassador to the Pacific Rim, headed a diplomatic mission to Senegal, and worked as a counselor at the embassy in Cairo. He is a certified specialist in Arabic language, literature and public policy, as well as in economics.
